Last October, I had the opportunity to join my good friends Kendal Miller of IMP Studios and Matt Jeppsen of Clear Creek Productions & FreshDV fame, on an independent film shoot, outside Chicago. After six days of 5am call times in the cold, rainly outskirts of Chicago, I realized I learned more in those few days than I had in the past three years at school. Be it carrying lenses, building up camera rigs, generally helping whenever I could, I learned the dynamics of a film set.
